although you are probably not aware of the fact that BallSide.com was founded in 2008 by three young Basketball enthusiasts and was developed with funds of the EXIST-business start-up grant at the German Sport University of Cologne, we would like to personally say goodbye to you. We will close down BallSide.com as of 1st of July 2013. Therefore your membership at our Basketball coaching platform will end as well. Accordingly all your content and data will be deleted completely and irrecoverably. This applies to user and team profiles, statistic data, images, messages, commentaries and all other data you may have uploaded and saved with us. Before running down our platform on the 1st of July you will still have some weeks left to save important data on your own devices.
We are proud of what we have achieved with your support during the last years for the youth and amateur basketball sector. We are happy that we were able to convince coaches, fans and especially players worldwide for our new approach. Highlights have certainly been the integration of our free of charge statistic analyzer tool ('analyzer') with the German Beko Basketball Bundesliga, the support of the former German national Basketball coach Dirk Bauermann and getting to know so many Basketball devotees and supporters. In the end we were not able to meet our high expectations in a way that we are able to keep BallSide.com both alive and up-to-date for our users.
We are now saying goodbye to you with mixed emotions but are looking forward to new challenges which are ahead of us.
